ADSU to Get 2,000-Capacity Hostel- Gov. Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Saturday restated the commitment of his administration to reposition Adamawa State University(ADSU), Mubi, by building two thousand capacity hostel in the institution.

The Governor revealed this at the Palace of the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu when he paid a homage at the start of his two day official working visit in Mubi zone.

Governor Fintiri also said that three new faculty buildings will be erected in the university in addition the government will construct roads and other viable infrastructure projects.

He also disclosed that the state government has already sent consultants to various schools in the zone to assess the level of damage done by insurgency so that necessary rebuilding budget will be included in the next year appropriation bill.

On security, the governor said that he has sent a last warning to kidnappers and other criminal minded persons in Mubi zone that the present administration will fight kidnapping in the area and sought for support of Mubi emirate.

The Governor also announced the readiness of the current adminstration to complete all abandoned projects by previous administrations in Mubi and provides other developmental projects and programmes in the area.

He revealed that currently the state government is working with some donor agencies for provision of potable drinking water to the people of Mubi and environs.

Governor Umaru Fintiri asked the Mubi emirate to provide him with a plot for building of international market in Mubi to fulfill the promise he made to the people during the electioneering campaign.

Earlier in his remark, the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu thanked the Governor for the visit and assured him support and cooperation of the people and Mubi emirate council.

Alhaji Isa Ahmadu, who described Governor Fintiri as the man of his words, called on people in the area to give the present administration unflinching support.
