ADSU MATRICULATES 6629 CANDIDATES FOR THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Adamawa State University Mubi has held it's Matriculation Ceremony on Tuesday 4th May 2021 . The Ceremony which marked the 17th in the series was held at the University Multipurpose Hall to formally admit the newly admitted students for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Speaking  at the Ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Prof. kaletapwa George Farauta admonished the new students to dedicate themselves to study hard and shun all social vices that can truncate the process. She employed them to be conversant with extant laws and regulations of the University, particularly as relates to dress code, Examination Malpractice, cultism and violence. 

She further charged all the students to be security conscious especially against the present realities of our times.She assured the matriculating students that although management is working round the clock to ensure safety of the campus, however, everyone must be involved because according to her security is everybody's business 

Prof Farauta also used the occasion to express the profound gratitude of the University Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students to His Excellency the Visitor and Fresh Air Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmed Umaru Fintiri for the tremendous support and encouragement the University is enjoying under his watch. 

The high point of the Ceremony was the administration of the oath on the 6,629 matriculating students by the Oath Commissioner Barr. Aliyu Bakari. 

The break down of the matriculating students by faculty is as follows; Faculty of Agriculture 229,Faculty of Arts 298,Faculty of Education  530,Faculty of Science 2140 and Faculty of Social & Management Sciences  3432.

The Dean of Students Dr  Lazarus Ndatuwong in a Vote of thanks appreciated all the dignitaries that graced the occasion with their presence and expressed the university's gratitude to all the security agencies for standing with the institution. 

Among the Guests that attended the event were the representative of the Emir of Mubi ,the District Head of Gella,the representatives of sister institutions in Mubi and service Heads of the Various security agencies of Government.
