Adamawa State University, Mubi holds 18th Matriculation, admits 4198 students

Adamawa State University, Mubi has admitted total of 4198 students in her 2022/2023 academic session who met the National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmark, JAMB cut off mark and the institution's registration requirements. 

This was announced by the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University,  Dr. Stephen A. Lagu which was ably represented by the deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Prof Bashir Hammangabdo during the 18th matriculation of the institution which was held on the 13th January, 2023 at the school Multi-purpose hall.

The Ag. VC gave the breakdown of the matriculating students according to faculties  as follows: the faculty of Agriculture 165, faculty of Art 147, faculty of education 411, faculty of science 1424, faculty of social and management science 2054.

In his speech, the Vice Chancellor congratulates the new students for getting admission into the institution and to be security conscious, uphold the institution's dress code and to always  shun cultism, violence, malpractice to avoid expulsion.

He charged the matriculating students to build social network across religious and ethnic divides which according to him that will assist them in subsequent years in their career after graduation that will go a long way in contributing meaningfully to the development of the state and the nation at large

The Ag. VC made it known to the new students that the University has outline programmes, rules and regulations designed to inculcate proper skills, values and attitude for the realization of the main purpose for which they are in the institution. He further urged them to dedicate themselves towards excelling in their studies so that they will acquire appropriate skills, abilities and competencies for self actualization and self-employment.

While addressing the matriculating students, the acting VC used the medium to thank His Excellency, the visitor and Governor of Adamawa State for his tremendous support and encouragement accord the University

The matriculation event was graced by the council Members of ADSU, dignitaries in all walks of life, parents and guardians of the matriculating students and the students of the institution
